What this site does not collect
- No cookies, first-party or third-party.
- No analytics, advertising, social or tracking scripts, and no pixels.
- No accounts, sign-ups, newsletters or forms, so there is nothing for you to type in.
- No browser storage. Your quiz answers and score live in the open page and are gone when you reload or close it.
- No outside requests. Pages, fonts and the quiz script are all served from aicpdesignation.com.
The practice questions are checked on your own device. Nothing about which answers you picked, or how many you got right, is sent anywhere.
The one thing we log: app-link taps
Every “Get the app” button goes through go.aicpdesignation.com, our own redirect address, which sends you on to the App Store or Google Play. On a computer it shows a short page with both store badges instead, and a click on a badge is handled the same way. Each time it handles a tap or a click, our server records:
| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Page and button | The page you tapped from and which button it was (top bar, side panel, in the text or at the end of the page) |
| Device | Your operating system and the store you were sent to |
| Network | Your IP address, your internet provider and the approximate location derived from the IP: country, region, city and time zone |
| Browser | The user-agent string and the referring page |
| Time | When the tap happened |
The record is written by the server after the redirect has already been sent. No cookie, identifier or script is placed on your device, and the page you land on is the same whether the log is working or not.
We use the log to count which pages lead people to the app and to estimate how many of those taps end in an install. It is not used for advertising, and this site shows no ads.
Hosting and the app stores
Like any website, these pages are delivered by a hosting provider whose servers see your IP address and request details in order to deliver them and keep out abusive traffic. That processing is part of serving the page; it adds no scripts or cookies to it.
Once you reach the App Store or Google Play, Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy applies, and so does the privacy policy shown on the app’s own listing. Anything you do inside the app is covered there, not here.
Questions and changes
If you have a question about this policy or about a tap you made, the contact page explains how to reach us. If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.
